  2.             HOW TO SUBMIT ARTICLES
  3.  
  4. There a few rules, easy ones, to follow for getting your
  5. articles to the editor for publication.  It would be greatly
  6. appreciated if you would go along with these rules if at all
  7. possible.
  8.  
  9. First of all, no handwritten articles, please.  I have
  10. enough problems reading my own writing without trying to
  11. decipher someone else's!  Typewritten articles are accept-
  12. able if there is no other way you can do it.  You see,
  13. someone (probably me!) will have to retype your article in
  14. the proper format to make it usable for inclusion in the
  15. disk Newsletter.

  17. Method of choice would be an Appleworks file, or an
  18. Applewriter // file, or an ASCII text file - any of those on
  19. disk, either 5.25" or 3.5". If you're not into any of those
  20. programs, try any word processor and I may be able to
  21. translate from it - although I don't have access to
  22. them all.  If there's any question at all about the format
  23. you'd like to use, please call me at 721-7745 and we'll
  24. work something out, I promise.

  26. To get the disk to me, hand delivery at a Chapter meeting
  27. would be one way to do it, mail would be another.  If
  28. you're into modems at all, uploading the disk to the
  29. TRANSFER section of ACES BULLETIN BOARD SERVICE (command
  30. "X") and into Log 50 would be a real good way of transfer.
  31. Should you do it this way, an E-Mail to me about the art-
  32. icle would be welcome. If you are not adept at uploading,
  33. this will be a great way to get some experience at the
  34. technique.  Ask for on-screen HELP if you get stuck.  Again,
  35. call me if a delivery problem arises.

  37. We'd like to publish your pet article, technique, software
  38. or hardware hint, letter to the editor etc. and etc.  It
  39. can only be done if you will prepare it and get it to the
  40. editor for inclusion in the next issue.

  42. As an added inducement, we will give a certificate good for
  43. three 5.25" or one 3.5" library disk(s) to any ACES member
  44. who submits an acceptable original article for publication.
